Automotive Glass Technician ITA (Glazier)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Van Isle Glass is looking for a responsible self motivated Glass Technician to join our team in Victoria BC.

Our Ideal candidate is someone who is willing to take on projects and complete them start to finish with minimal oversite. Has experience in the glass industry and Is able to adapt to change with good attention to detail.

You would be A Journeyman Technician you will be part of a close-knit team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY:

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Windshield Installation.
• Automotive Glass Installation, Door, Side, Hatchback, Etc.…
• Rock Chip Repair.
• Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) Recalibration.
• Ensure that all equipment, and work areas are kept clean and organized.
• Residential & commercial glass installation
• Identification and ordering of auto glass.
• Provide customer service & support.
• Ensuring customer vehicles leave the shop tidy and clean.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• ITA Auto glass certification
• ITA Glazier – Red Seal
• Minimum 4 years documented work experience
• Flat glass cutting experience
• Valid BC drivers license
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Auto Glass certification is preferred but with 4 years experience we will offer assistance in gaining your ITA Certification.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:

The wage is between $30 and $42 per hour depending on certifications, qualifications, ability, and experience.

Standard 40 hour work week within our business hours.

Business hours are 8 to 5 Monday to Friday 8 to 4 Saturday

Assistance will be provided to obtain additional certifications.

Bonuses will be provided for sales, outstanding customer services and Teamwork.

Two to Three weeks vacation time based on previous work experience

A relocation allowance of up to $2,500 is available.
